Join us aboard our newest vessel ‘Alihilani for an adventure along the incredible coast of Lāna’i. We will explore the pristine reefs along Lāna’i’s south shores, stunning sea cliffs, uncrowded snorkeling sites, and expansive island views; a wonderful way to spend your weekend! Enjoy a light breakfast of tropical fruit, freshly baked banana bread, and locally roasted coffee. We’ve got no set destination so our experienced crew can select the best location based on conditions. We’ll set our sails, look for Lāna’i’s famous spinner dolphins, and serve up a full lunch buffet as you relax on board.

‘Alihilani translates to where the heavenly horizon meets the sea, and we’d like to invite you to meet us there. Sail Maui is still offering the same great performance sunset sail on Paragon, but we are pleased to introduce ‘Alihilani for an elevated experience. Our 65’ Gold Coast catamaran is spacious, comfortable, and all about the views. Lounge on the forward trampolines, find a comfortable seat with panoramic island views, or take cover under our 575 square feet of covered cabin space for a break from the elements.

The wonders of nature have blessed this spectacular, crescent shaped crater. Molokini, a natural marine preserve and bird sanctuary, is one of the most visually stimulating snorkeling experiences available to the visitors of Maui. Paragon Sailing Charters combines the elements of performance sailing with the underwater experiences at Molokini; experiences that include over 250 varieties of tropical fish that school in cobalt blue water as clear as glass.

Sail into Maui’s Amazing Sunset

A perfect Maui experience is not complete without witnessing the beauty of a sunset out on the ocean. Join us aboard Paragon for our Lahaina Champagne Sunset sail and watch the sun dip below the horizon as we glide along the picturesque West Maui coast. Beverages including Beach House Brew Co. Cerveza & Hazy Lime Pale Ale, white wine, sparkling wine, Mai Tais, water, Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite & Ginger Ale are served as well as pupus (appetizers). This is as close as we get to yachting on Paragon, but make no mistake — when the wind is up this can be quite an exhilarating sail.

Join the captain and crew in keeping a lookout and refresh with a variety of beverages, including wine and local beer.

Maui is the place to see humpback whales. Each year these magnificent creatures migrate south from Alaska, and although you can see them throughout Hawai’i, the ‘Au ‘au channel off the coast of Maui boasts the greatest number. Our warm, relatively shallow and protected waters make an ideal location for the humpbacks to mate and give birth to their calves. These whales are known for their acrobatics, and are often seen fully breaching out of the ocean!

On this tour, we ride down to the range and hear stories of ancient Hawaiian history as we ride past Pii’moi on our way check the nursery (cows and calves). This tours also includes the old well, and two amazing lookout points of the last lava flow on Maui. On a clear day you’ll see the neighboring islands of Hawaii Island, Kaho’olawe and Molokini too! While our paniolo check water lines you’ll get a full tour of the pastures, and the unique Hawaiian history and cultural practices. Fun for the whole family! Cold drinks and snacks provided.

This route takes you from the backside of Haleakala, winding through our ranches cattle country and historic sites stopping at our lookout point for a catered BBQ Triple L Ranch beef burgers from Bully’s Burgers, plus savory treats, fresh fruit and delicious desserts. This is a very important ride as we need to keep our cattle upland and keep invasive species below the pasture management areas.

Join us upcountry at the home of Maui Gold Pineapple to experience Maui’s last working pineapple operation first hand. You’ll learn about the growing cycle and cultivation techniques and the history of Maui Gold Pineapple. Best of all, you get a FREE PINEAPPLE with every tour, all set for the airport! It’s truly a fun and delicious tour for all ages 3 and up!

Group lessons must have 2 students minimum per class. In the unlikely event of only one student confirmed into a group lesson, we will try to reschedule that student into another group lesson time slot or the student can chose to pay an extra fee for a private class.

The Sunrise Journey is our most popular tour and seating is EXTREMELY limited!

Your tour begins with hotel pick-up and tour to Haleakala.Valley Isle Excursions tour guides provide you with a history of Haleakala, its geology and an explanation of rare plants and animals only found on Maui.
